  1. Mayhaps I can use the deck of LENT MADNESS to indulge in a round of strip poker with the Bishop and one of the St. Mary's sisters at the upcoming Clergy Colloquium.....Oh well, it was just a thought.

  2. Hi Aleathia,
Madeleine Baier here. I hope your Easter was as good as mine! I am intrigued by the notion of strip poker.
Maybe the loser has to promise that(here it comes as you knew it must)a spot will open up for Fred Rogers on next year's bracket......I bet the SEC thought that I forgot.....to use a line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, "No chance, English Types"....

  3. Well, my dear sister Madeleine, here's hoping your Easter was peachy keen, aussi! Wishful thinking about the strip poker idea and "doing the deed" are so far removed from reality 'til it doesn't even warrant mentioning. Along with that line of thinking, assuming that the SEC thought you'd forgotten about your quest to get FFR's name on the 2015 LM bracket stands as much chance of that happening as my Bishop even entertaining the thought of engaging in a round of strip poker with the Sister and me. And, "No, they haven't forgotten about your quest as there's not a chance in you-know-where of that happening !" But miracles have been known to happen and just as I may discover my Bishop does know how to play strip poker and will entertain the thought, the SEC may find a way to grant you your wish. Happy 50 days!

  4. Back at you, my sista! I am a staunch believer in miracles, as evidenced by the fact that this coming June 11th I will celebrate 10 years clean and sober, Lord Jesus I thank you!!

  5. Perhaps Lent Madness has become a little too commercial. Awards? T shirts? Cups? What's next? Keep it simple, guys.

  6. Still despondent over Harriet Bedell's "loss," I will continue to enjoy my (made in Florida) Tervis Tumblers which read "Sewanee" and "Kanuga."
