Monday Madness -- Faithful Four Edition

As we enter into the high excitement of the Faithful Four, Tim and Scott are back with the last in-season episode of Monday Madness. That's a lot of pressure, but they rise to the occasion with another "action-packed" show. This time, they wax nostalgic about Lent Madness 2020, as well as looking ahead to the championship round on Spy Wednesday.*

The Supreme Executive Committee also recognizes an excellent fan film from the good people of the Cathedral of St. James in South Bend, Indiana. Make sure you watch their great work. It involves peg dolls, which is more than we can say for Monday Madness.

Oh, and it's never too soon to pre-order your Lent Madness 2020 Golden Halo Winner mug! Since you're stuck at home and can't get your mall fix, why not enjoy the thrill of waiting for a new mug while browsing through the Lentorium. Sorry, no food court.

Monday Madness -- Kitsch Krank Edition

As we post this video, the last battle of the Saintly Sixteen is under way. Which can only mean one thing: tomorrow begins the Elate Eight. With this round, as Tim and Scott remind us, we move from basic biography (Round of 32), quirks and quotes (Saintly Sixteen) into the nether realms of saintly kitsch.

If experience is any guide, this means we will soon meet the inevitable Kitsch Kranks -- people who (for some reason!) do not appreciate this round of Lent Madness. The good news is this week's episode of Monday Madness has all the answers as we once again recall the Great Commandments of Lent Madness.

As a bonus, you'll get to see a bit of Tim's personal killer kitsch kollection. Speaking of kitsch, it's not too early to pre-order your 2020 Golden Halo Winner Lent Madness mug or other items from the Lentorium. Even though the Lentorium is closed to in-person shopping, operators are (safely!) standing by to take your order.

Monday Madness -- March 23, 2020

As we find ourselves mired in the Saintly Sixteen portion of the Lent Madness season, Tim and Scott are back with another award-winning* episode of Monday Madness. In the midst of isolation and quarantine, they remind you that connection and community are available through Lent Madness. They also highlight (and comment upon) the Top Ten Reasons to Attend Online Church, as Tim enumerated them on his blog. And Scott shares that he offered a virtual sermon on Psalm 23 last Sunday, in the form of an op-ed for a major news website.

Monday Madness -- March 16, 2020

This week, even in the midst of a crisis that seems to bring new disruptions every day, Tim and Scott are here with another action-packed, fact-filled episode of Monday Madness. They remind you that Lent Madness will be here to offer you online community and a measure of joy just when many people are craving these things. By the way, Lent Madness shared several useful resources for practicing faith at home on Saturday, and we encourage you to revisit that post.

In Saintly Smackdown action, the Round of the 32 ends this week with the epic battle between the Patron Saint of Television vs. the Patron Saint of the Internet. Just in time for everyone to be stuck at home, we'll help you figure out whether it's better to pass your time on the internet or watching television.

Monday Madness - March 9, 2020

Things are heating up as we continue to work our way through the Round of 32 in Lent Madness 2020 -- and we're not just talking about the official drink of the Supreme Executive Committee, which Tim and Scott reveal in this week's episode of Monday Madness. It's worth noting, once again, that you never know what's going to happen in the Saintly Smackdown. St. Patrick may have driven the snakes from Ireland, but did that help him move beyond the first round of everyone's favorite online Lenten devotion? No!

On screen, Tim drinks out of a coffee mug at Redeye Roasters in Hingham, MA, home to this week's on-location recording. If you want your own  mug to enjoy a favorite beverage while watching Monday Madness or deciding which saint gets your vote, visit the Lentorium and pick up a Lent Madness mug or travel mug.

In the meantime, there's still time to vote in today's matchup between James Solomon Russell and Evelyn Underhill. Don't forget to exercise your right to vote!

In the first in-season episode of Lent Madness 2020, Tim and Scott offer globe-spanning, action-packed commentary for you, the Lent Madness global viewing public. They highlight the raging Lent Madness excitement in places such as Kuala Lumpur and Terre Haute, two locations which have, perhaps, never before been placed in the same sentence. At least in the context of an online Lenten devotion.

Check out this article in the Tribune-Star about how Lent Madness has taken over at St. Stephen's Church in the aforementioned Terre Haute.

Monday Madness -- February 17, 2020

It's a special Presidents' Day edition of Monday Madness, in which Tim and Scott speculate on whether the long-clamored for Supremes' Day will ever come to fruition -- and wonder if it might be time for a Golden Halo Winners' Mountain similar to Mt. Rushmore. Anyone with mountainous property and a hand chisel is encouraged to contact Lent Madness HQ.

But, of course, there's much more saintly content packed into this compelling episode. Watch the entire show to learn how you, too, can become a Lent Madness evangelist at church, at home, and in the break room at work. Step one? Track Lent Madness on Facebook or Twitter.

This week's episode also features a shout-out for the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Dallas, Texas, where Lent Madness is all the rage. If your church has a Lent Madness display -- or something else we can talk up -- please let us know! Leave a comment here, or send a photo to the email address mentioned in the video. We'd love to make you famous on our Facebook or Twitter feeds.

Monday Madness -- February 10, 2020

This week, in the aftermath of the Oscars, join Tim and Scott on the purple carpet as the world prepares for Lent Madness 2020. Despite being snubbed (again!) for Best Lenten-Themed Movie, the Supreme Executive Committee reminds viewers that, contrary to appearances, Lent Madness is, like grace, FREE. They also answer viewer mail and recount the early days of Ye Olde Lent Madness. All that, and more, in this week's episode of Monday Madness.

Today is the last day for you to order stuff from the Lentorium -- or from our sponsors at Forward Movement -- and pay the cheapest shipping rate with guaranteed Lenten delivery. So if you want to buy stuff, it’s time to get your very own giant bracket poster or Saintly Scorecard (single copy, bulk copies for savings, or ebook for your favorite Kindle device).
